JPMorgan: Geopolitical Conflict May Drive Investors Toward Gold and Bitcoin

Analysts at JPMorgan have noted that escalating geopolitical tensions and the upcoming presidential election in November are prompting investors to view gold and Bitcoin as safe-haven assets in a “debasement trade.”

The analysts explained that this “debasement trade” is driven by several factors, including increased geopolitical uncertainty since 2022, persistent inflation concerns, large government deficits in major economies, and weakened confidence in fiat currencies, particularly in some emerging markets.
