BlackRock’s Spot Bitcoin ETF Surpasses 500,000 BTC in Assets Under Management

BlackRock’s IBIT spot Bitcoin ETF surpassed 500,000 BTC (approximately $48 billion) in assets under management (AUM) on Monday, less than a year after the fund began trading on January 11.

According to the latest fund disclosures, as of November 29, BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF had accumulated 496,854 BTC. Data from K33 shows that the fund recorded a net inflow of $338.3 million (equivalent to 3,526 BTC) yesterday, pushing its holdings to 500,380 BTC. This represents 2.38% of Bitcoin’s total supply of 21 million coins.

Vetle Lunde, Head of Research at K33, commented, “Reaching the 500,000 BTC milestone marks another significant achievement in BlackRock’s remarkable inaugural year.” In terms of year-to-date fund inflows, the ETF remains the third-largest in the U.S., surpassing the $314 billion Invesco QQQ Fund.
