Bitcoin and Ethereum Options Open Interest and Trading Volume Decline in September

Bitcoin and Ethereum options saw a general decline in open interest and trading volume in September. Bitcoin options open interest decreased by 1.6%, while Ethereum options open interest also fell by 8.4%. Additionally, Bitcoin options monthly trading volume reached $38.6 billion, marking a 28.1% decline, whereas Ethereum options trading volume stood at $9.7 billion, with a significant decrease of 37.5%. Moreover, the average monthly trading volume for Ethereum futures dropped to $465.5 billion, a decline of 20.8%. Meanwhile, the open interest for CME Bitcoin futures increased by 14.3%, rising to $10.3 billion, while the daily average volume fell by 4.7%, down to approximately $4.8 billion.
